Pip’s Island is an award winning live show that debuted in New York City. For the past six years, I’ve been the Creative Director there. I’m also one of the co-creators. I’ve had a hand in creating all aspects of story, art, and animation over the years. It’s been an honor working with amazing teams of artists, designers, and writers.
Below are a few cuts from animated projects I directed at Pip’s Island. We wanted an illustrated look, but we worked in 3D to streamline production. Although my core animation team was based out of New York City, I also pulled in various artists from across the globe to fill out the teams.
I designed the live sets for the interactive show, which was a new creative endeavor for me, but surprisingly similar to designing for animation. Here’s a few stills from the experience.
